Some people have it.
Some people (like me) have to work a little harder to get there. Unfortunate, but true.
The past week has been rough, and it doesn’t help that I woke up sick as a dog this morning. But I’m the only person who can turn it around…and, despite this post from a few days ago, I haven’t been doing a great job. Until right now, that is!
I’m taking care of me today, starting with a lot of this:
I made myself a to-do list/sorta meal plan for the next few days, Jaime style.
Today’s To-Dos:
The most important goal of all…
I plan to take a page from Tash’s book and lay out my clothes for the week on Sunday so I can stop dreading waking up in the cold and shivering as I try to find something to wear!
Just to throw another little chunk of positive attitude in this post…being home sick today and having the day off tomorrow (wear your poppies, folks!) means that I can spend more time blogging…which is ridiculously relaxing for me.
I’ve obviously picked up some good tips from various blogs/articles/etc., but I can always use more! What do you do when you need to refocus or turn your attitude around? Is there anyone who inspires you to be a happier person?

All the bloggers I read inspire me to be a happier person – including you!
Every time I am upset or down on myself I try to say – out loud – one positive thing. Saying out loud works way better than thinking it for me. Or if I can’t say it out loud, I think about a really happy memory or a dorky thing the husband did (like cooking hot dogs without taking off the wrappers off).
I also find playing music helps – usually really old school pop and dance – stuff from my high school or clubbing days. It’s fun, you dance around, you know all the words and it always puts me in a good mood. The radio when I first wake up works too. Oh, and I don’t hit the snooze button – I just get up (at least I try to).
